TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY !!

Beltone has been helping the world hear better for over 70 years. Take a trip down memory lane with us and experience the service Beltone has offered over that time…
Dear Beltone,

I have been wearing hearing aids for the last ten years, so Beltone New England is not my first experience. I am delighted to tell you about my personal experience with Ean.

Ean is a great businessman for his company. Upon meeting him, I encountered a courteous, friendly, well-mannered young man. He thoroughly explained the new technology of the latest hearing aids. He was actually my reason for purchasing them the very first day. He let me know that I would have to be 100% satisfied with them. He surely is keeping his promise. He listens attentively and makes adjustments that need attention. His patience is outstanding. He is smart, knows his business and to top it all, he is a very fine, honest human being. I respect him and trust him completely. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Abigail is the sweetest young lady with the sweetest smile. She too is an asset to Beltone New England.

Sincerely,

Marie F.

TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY !!
Beltone has been helping the world hear better for over 70 years. Take a trip down memory lane with us and experience the service Beltone has offered over that time…

Dear Mr. Andreozzi,

I’m writing this letter to compliment you and thank you not only for your product but especially for the customer service I have been receiving. But it goes way beyond that, let me explain.

About 10 years ago, recognizing my hearing loss (and not wanted to be like my father saying “huh” all the time) I asked around and got a doctor and audiologist recommended to me. They verified the loss and outfitted me with the “top of the line” hearing aids, which ended up like plugs in my ears. They were supposed to amplify, filter, thus allowing me to hear conversations in restaurants, etc. All they did was amplify! When I would go back and inform them of the difficulties I was having in one situation or another, I would often get the response, “you know hearing aids are not an exact science”. With the amount of money I spent (my inheritance from my father) I was really upset. Never mind the batteries, which one lasted 2-3 days, cost me $45/month – which, by the way, they never informed me of up front. I stopped wearing them after about 5 years – it had gotten too frustrating.

The hearing loss was getting worse and I HAD to do something. I read the ad in the local paper about a free screening, ear buds, free batteries for 3 years, etc. and decided I needed to give it a shot. The closet Beltone center was in Manchester, so I called and that visit changed my life. The specialist, Nancy, was so thorough and kind during the hearing test, she put me at ease immediately (and  I can say I was very uneasy when I walked in!). The entire process has been painless, informative and successful – from the receptionist Sandy, who is so warm and friendly to the specialist who is the most informative, professional personal I have ever met. No matter what problem or difficulties I would have, and there were a few, Nancy listened, waiting for me to add more (a rare thing these days!), and would then explain, readjust, make changes or agree we keep tabs on whatever the issue for future follow-up. No matter what, Nancy made me feel like she was there to make everything perfect for me.

Well, I have had the hearing aids, Beltone True Model, for about a year now and have never been happier. I also have the remote and the Direct Line for the TV (which my kids think is the best invention of all time!). I no longer hear my kids say “hey Mom, I was talking to you” – frustrating – or miss out on a conversation with my grandsons – unacceptable!

I saw Sandy and Nancy this morning and again was so thrilled with the complete attention to detail, making me feel like I was their only customer. I just had to write to let you know much I appreciate them and let you know what great representatives you have for your company. I have learned from experience that the product is only as good as the representatives who administer it, and you have two of the best!

Sincerely,

Patricia V.

Dear Mr. Anderozzi,
I have been wearing hearing aids for 15 years and in January, I decided to change hearing aid vendors.
I visited Rick in January and he tested my hearing and listened to my concerns and my hearing difficulties. I was impressed with the effort that Rick made to understand my hearing problems. We decided that 2 channel digital aid would best serve my needs.

When my hearing aids arrived, I immediately determined that the hearing aids were not manufactured correctly. I made a list of the problems and highlighted the poor manufacturing practices. I also could not hear properly with the aids.

Rick immediately remolded the aids and sent the defective aids and the molds back to the factory with the list items that I had identified. Rick also called the factory and also discussed the problems with the V.P. Of Quality Assurance at Beltone. When the aids returned, they were manufactured properly and I started the process of learning how to best use the 2 channel aids.

Since February, I have visited Rick several times for minor adjustments and he has always been very attentive to my needs and always has a smile.

Again, I would like to commend Rick on the excellent job that he is doing representing Beltone.
Sincerely,

Bill

iPods and Hearing Loss in Children

Exposure to even one loud noise can cause permanent hearing loss. However, hearing loss is associated with not only the loudness of the noise, but the length of exposure as well. If parents can hear the music from their child's Ipod, the volume needs to be decreased. Be aware of the signs of early hearing loss. Be sure to share this story with family and friends. Have a great week, from your friends at Beltone New England.

Dear Laura and Michael,

I just want to thank you so much for the gift of hearing.  I  am so very grateful for my wonderful family in entering me into the Beltone Give-away Contest and for Beltone for giving me such a wonderful gift, the gift of hearing.

Carol and Lindsey in the Trumbull office are the greatest.  I have had nothing but outstanding service.  Carol made me feel so comfortable that I recommended my Mom, Rita to go for a hearing test and fitting for new hearing aids.  My mom, who is eighty four years young, she felt very comfortable with Carol. Carol has a wonderful way with people of all ages and has a very warm and welcoming personality. Lindsey, who is the receptionist, is very professional and has a wonderful smile for all that come through that door.

I am recommending all to Beltone and have nothing but compliments to say about the service and the hearing aids.  The hearing aids are so very comfortable, sometimes I forget that I have them in and just hearing sounds that I haven’t heard before reminds me of this wonderful gift that I  had the privilege to win.

Thank you again for choosing me as a winner of this great give-away and for the professional and terrific service that I have received from the Trumbull office.  They have been more than helpful to both my Mom and I.

With much gratitude,

Deborah

Self-Hearing Test

Happy Monday to our friends and followers. Today we are posting a self-hearing test. Set your volume to regular settings. Watch Hearing Test and listen very carefully using headphones. The video displays audio frequencies that are being played. You can determine what you can or what you cannot hear. Typically, depending on age, audible frequencies will be between 20-30 Hertz on the low side of the audio spectrum, and 10-16 kiloHertz on the high side of the audio spectrum. There are individuals, however, who can hear the whole spectrum between 16 Hz (Hertz) and 20 kHz (kiloHertz). Because of the encoding used during the audio preparation, tests above 18 kHz are not very reliable. Be sure to share with family and friends.

Noice-Induced Hearing Loss

Every day, we experience sound in our environment, such as the sounds from television and radio, household appliances, and traffic. Normally, we hear these sounds at safe levels that do not affect our hearing. However, when we are exposed to harmful noise—sounds that are too loud or loud sounds that last a long time—sensitive structures in our inner ear can be damaged, causing noise-induced hearing loss. These sensitive structures, called hair cells, are small sensory cells that convert sound energy into electrical signals that travel to the brain. Once damaged, our hair cells cannot grow back. Learn more about noise-induced hearing loss in this article by the National Institute of Deafness..

TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY !!

Beltone has been helping the world hear better for over 70 years. Take a trip down memory lane with us and experience the service Beltone has offered over that time…

Dear Beltone,
After a recent hearing test, the results indicated a loss of both the high and low frequency range. I was sure the results were similar to the results of the test of a few years ago, but I could hear ok. The Beltone specialist then convinced me to try the Digital Hearing Aids. After a few adjustments were made on these easy to insert, almost invisible hearing aids, a new hearing experience was realized. The very first difference I noted was the change in my own voice, as well as considerable reduction of tinnitus.

Further explanation and information resulted in setting up a trial over the weekend. It was amazing to hear things that I know I have not heard in many years. Outside the birds were making a lot more noise than usual and many sounds were audible to me.

A meeting on Saturday night and church on Sunday emphasized the ability to be able to hear clearly even with background clutter in a crowded area. Needless to say this trial period convinced me that there was a lot I was missing. Even with the expense of the Beltone Digitals, I feel that the improved hearing is certainly worth it.

Hearing is believe and there was no pressure applied to buy, but the trial period did the job of selling! I have even recommended to several people the benefits that may be available with Beltone hearing aids.

Thank you,

Carl

Hearing Loss Statistics

Below, we have a graphic that brilliantly displays the effects of hearing loss and how to cope with it. The graphic points out that the four main ways people lose their ears are through listening to loud music, spending too much time in an industrial work place with power drills and the like, being exposed to the sounds of a racetrack, and being exposed to the sounds of guns firing for long periods ...of time.

When I finally decided to get my hearing fixed, I talked to a number of people that had hearing aids. The one thing that they all said was to find someone that you have a repore with and who is knowledgeable a...bout fitting the hearing aids for you. The first place I tried went through all of the normal tests but I felt they had signed up to buy their franchise and taken the mandatory 3-6 week training course, but not as knowledgeable as I hoped to see. A friend of mine and I then went to the Beltone Seminar and were impressed with the quality of the people involved.

Soon after that I signed up for an appointment with Mike at Beltone. I Found him to be one of the rare individuals that will take time to answer all of the customers concerns, gave me as much time as I wanted, and was very knowledgeable about the product he was selling. I purchased your Edge Hearing Aids and have been very happy with both the hearing aids and the complete support that Mike has given me. He makes you feel like he is always available to answer your questions you may have or to make any minor adjustments that you feel are needed.

Thanks,

Alan

Hearing Loss May Lead To Other Ailments

Hearing loss, a disability currently untreated in about 85 percent of those affected, may be the nation's most damaging and costly sensory handicap. As hearing worsens, people are likely to become increasingly frustrated and socially isolated. Social isolation, in turn, has been linked to depression and an increased risk of death from conditions like heart disease. And now there is another major risk associated with hearing problems: dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Don't let your hearing loss go unknown. Call Beltone today to schedule your hearing examination. Click the link below to learn more about these ailments.

Dear Mr. Andreozzi,

I am 73 years old and never had the urge to write to a company before but I had to do so having been a client of Beltone for several years. I am very deaf and thanks to Peter Vieira and his wife Darlene, I now hear very well. The hearing aids have made a great difference in my hearing. As good as the product is, I am especially impressed by the service provided by the Vieira’s. They are always available for my adjustments went needed and when I recently had to have my hearing aids sent for repair, the turnaround was extremely quick.

Again, Peter and Darlene are always professional, pleasant and patient in all my dealing with them and I felt I would be remiss if I neglected to send this letter to you.

*How Much Do Our Customers Love True Technology?

Recently a client of ours recorded an album "I'm old Fashion" by Bob Rocha.
...... He did such a nice job I use it to demo the Trues on some of our clients.

Mrs. Hunt was complaining that Ralph and her go ballroom dancing, but lately he has been missing a beat and their dance step was off.

Well after purchasing the Trues she was happy to report his smile and dance step was back. When he came in for a checkup and to pair his TV link I tested the link and happen to have Bob's album in the computer. He just smiled and started to dance with his wife. I thought it was so cute I had to take a picture and send off the story for our newsletter. Look at his big smile giving me the OK sign.

We should all be thankful here at Beltone New England that we are able to change people’s lives.

Gerry,
I can't believe the difference between my old hearing aid and the new "True RIE" device I purchased from you a couple of months ago. I particularly like the remote switch device that allows me to adjust the sound levels for each of the three modes you programmed for my personal hearing situations. This same small package allows me to increase/decrease the background noise level in each mode depending on how bad it is. Also, my wife is pleased with the fact that we no longer have to argue about turning down the sound level of our TV thanks to the blue tooth box that wirelessly links the True with the television set. It was simple to hook up and I was able to use it immediately. The True is lightweight and almost impossible to see, so much so that, at times, I have to feel my ear canal to make sure it is really there!

Thanks again for recommending the True device and for the personal attention you always provide!

Dear Mr. Andreozzi,
I am writing to you for multiple reasons.  First to thank you and Beltone New England from the bottom of my heart for choosing my mother, Shirley F., as the Vermont winner of your Better Hearing contest. I was absolutely thrilled, and somewhat shocked to learn that I had actually won! My mom means the world to me and to be able to make her remaining years easier and more fulfilling is a feeling I can't even describe.

Mom and I talked about the appointment and her new hearing aids on the way home and she heard every word I said, without raising my voice! What a great feeling that was…for both of us. When we arrived at her senior apartment complex, the maintenance man was in his office about 12-15 feet away. When he saw us enter, he said “hi Shirley” and mom looked up at me and said “I heard him!!!!”. She had the biggest smile on her face! How cool was that?

The second reason I am writing this letter is to tell you what a huge asset Ryan Ricchi is to your company. He really has a knack for dealing with the elderly. My mom was nervous about the first appointment but not for long once she met Ryan. His caring nature and sense of humor put mom at ease immediately. He actually made the testing fun for her, comparing the test to playing jeopardy when she pushed the button. He was correct in assuming she would relate to that.

Ryan also shared with us that he proudly went home for Christmas with bragging rights of having the Vermont winner in his “territory” while his dad, who has been in the hearing aid business for 40 years, did not! We felt extremely special that he shared this personal information with us. I have no doubt that Ryan will go far in your company. It is my firm belief that even a company with the best products in the world will not survive without dedicated employees to sell and promote those products. Beltone should be proud to have Ryan on its staff!

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to mention that Donna Harriman is also a valuable employee of Beltone. Every time I spoke to her on the phone she was helpful and friendly. I called her a couple of times and she was very pleasant to deal with. She even took the time to come into Ryan’s office and chat with us for a few minutes, which I thought was really nice of her.

Once again, thank you so very much to Beltone for being a company that truly cares about others and sponsors this incredible contest each year!

Sincerely,
Susan C.

Dear Beltone and Staff,
... I have been a member of the Beltone “Family” since 2005, and this letter is to inform you that I have been very happy dealing with your company.

The quality of the product is excellent, and it has certainly made a huge difference in my life. Having been an elementary school teacher for thirty years, I am not retired and very active in several organizations. I can now attend meeting and hear most of what is being said.

I am also very pleased with the service which I have received and the periodic checkups of my aids. Although the staff at the Lewiston, Maine office has changed several times since I have been going there, each member has been outstanding in the courteous, professional manner with which they have interacted with their clients.

I look forward to many more years of being a satisfied member of the Beltone “family”. Thank you for your wondering service and product.

TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY!

Beltone has been helping the world hear better for over 70 years. Take a trip down memory lane with us and experience the service Beltone has offered over that time…
Dear Mr. Andreozzi,

On September 9th my husband Robert had an appointment at your Danvers, MA hearing aid center. His hearing aid had broken into two pieces and also would not stop humming.

Shannan O'Donnell, your Hearing Aid Practitioner is a credit to your company.

Shannon was so efficient, courteous, and kind to us. She was determined to repair the hearing aid and had the expertise to do it. My husband is hearing better since she repaired his hearing aid. We certainly will tell our friends where to go when they need a hearing aid.

Please extend our thanks to Shannon and her office assistant, Charlene who also took good care of our appointments.

Yours truly,
Joan and Robert

TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY!!!

I am writing in to you so that I may thank you for the wonderful response that I received from Beltone and Gerald Pessin of Dennis, MA., and in the manner in which I was treated. It was completely professional in every aspect and extremely helpful. The man, as well as his staff at Beltone Hearing Aid Centers, is a pleasure to deal with. They were able to fir me with hearing aids and also showed me the results of my audio exam and how much of a hearing loss that I had suffered. It is so wonderful to be able to hear well again. I  had no idea of all that I had been missing. I urge anyone who has a hearing problem to please contact your local Beltone office and avail themselves of his 40+ years of experience and to once again hear all that you have been missing.
